Leonardo Spinazzola, farewell message to Roma and its fans
Leonardo Spinazzola has officially left Roma: having not renewed his contract with the Giallorossi club, as of today the side that was European champion with the national team in the summer of 2021 has been released and will be able to freely negotiate his landing at another club, both in Italy and abroad. Before bidding farewell permanently to the Giallorossi environment, however, the 1993-born footballer wanted to express his thoughts through a long post on his Instagram profile.
"Dear Romanisti – he began -, è with a mixture of emotion and sadness that I write this message to say goodbye to you. After an unforgettable experience, è the time has come for me to say goodbye to Rome. We rejoiced and we cried, we exulted and we suffered, together. Together we touched the sky in Tirana, together we rose from nights like the one in Budapest".
"During my time in Rome,” he added, “I also had the honor of lifting the European with the Italian national team. I experienced moments of joy and pride, which will remain etched in my memory forever. But I also faced difficult moments. In those dark moments, I always felt your support. You gave me the strength to fight to come back stronger than before".
"Every time I took the field,” Spinazzola wrote again, “I fought and sweated with all my strength for these colors. Rome will always remain in my heart. I am proud to have contributed to the path of the club, to have brought Rome and Roma back to the biggest stages in Europe, to have given my all on the field and to have shared moments of joy and suffering with you".
