Mason Greenwood, not just Juventus: there’s another suitor in Serie A
Also Lazio on Mason Greenwood
Following the officialization of Douglas Luiz's purchase, Juventus also seemed close to closing for Mason Greenwood after long negotiations with Manchester United. Instead, always in Serie A, è popped up another suitor that could completely change the prospects of landing in Italy of the 2001 class external: Lazio, in fact, is trying to overtake the bianconeri.
The biancoceleste club wants to give new coach Marco Baroni a third market coup after the arrivals of Loum Tchaouna from Salernitana and Tijjani Noslin from Hellas Verona, where he was coached by Baroni. To get to Greenwood, according to reports from 'Il Corriere dello Sport', the Biancoceleste club would be willing to improve its offer of 20 million plus 50 percent of future resale, to satisfy the Red Devils’ demands.
Greenwood, if he arrives in Italy, would do so after his experience on loan in La Liga, where he played 33 games scoring 8 goals in the Getafe jersey, making an important contribution to the relatively quiet salvation of the Azulones, who finished 12th in the league.
The English footballer also played three matches in the Copa del Rey by scoring 2 goals.
Getafe's adventure in the national cup then ended in the round of 16 at the expense of Sevilla, who won 3-1. Earlier, Greenwood and teammates had gotten the better of Tardienta (12-0), Atzeneta (2-1) and Espanyol (1-0).
