Jannik Sinner begins the Wimbledon tournament with a hard-fought victory: the Italian tennis player folds the inspired German Yannick Hanfmann in four sets with the scores of 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in a hard-fought three-hour match. The Italian athlete after the first two sets has a noticeable drop on serve in the third set, but then finds himself in the fourth, closing the match with more effort than expected. In the second round Sinner will face compatriot Matteo Berrettini.
Sinner calm and solid in the first set, closed 6-3 in 37' thanks to a break in the sixth game. The second continued along the lines of the first partial, closed 6-4, although Hanfmann gave&ve; clear signs of growth in response and forced the world number one to save no less than five break points.
Trouble came in the third set for the Azure: an initial blackout on serve allowed the German to hit as many as two breaks in the second and fourth games, steering the partial. Sinner regained a break but struggled tremendously on serve, and could not be as effective in response as before: the set surprisingly ended 6-3 for the world number 110.
In the fourth set, Sinner shakes off, despite several errors on serve. In the fourth game came the very valuable break thanks to some phenomenal points that allowed him to take the lead. The tennis player from San Candido regained confidence and managed to finish 6-3, struggling more than expected.
