A new setter for Vero Volley Milan: Anastasia Guerra è ready to make herself available to the Consortium’s women’s first team for the upcoming season.
Anastasia Guerra was born on October 15, 1996 in Castelfranco Veneto. At 15, she took her first steps in high-level volleyball at Bruel Bassano, winning the Under 16 national title and making her first appearances in the C series. In 2012 she was called up with the National Under 18 team at the 8 Nations Tournament where she won gold and the title of best spiker; in the following seasons she continued to reap accolades in the blue with silver at the European Under 18 Championships in 2013 and the title of MVP of the event.
In 2014 she was called by Club Italia and made her debut in A2. The following season also comes the first call-up to the major national team. In 2015 Anastasia continued her path in the Italian national team with a bronze medal at the Under 20 World Championships. At 19 years old comes the debut in A1, with Club Italia. In the summer of 2016 she then moved to Pomì Casalmaggiore and stayed for two seasons collecting a third place in the CEV Cup; in 2018 (the year she won the gold medal at the Montreux Volley Masters with the national team), she moved to Shanghai Bright Ubest in China; in January 2019 she was then called to the French Ligue A by ASPTT Mulhouse Volley-Ball.
The return to Italy occurs the following year when Anastasia wears the Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri jersey, before transferring to Il Bisonte Firenze the following season. From 2021 to 2023 she defends the colors of Bartoccini-Fortinfissi Perugia for two championships; last season she flies to Turkey to play Sultanlar Ligi with Muratpaşa Belediyesi Sigorta Shop. She is now ready for another return to Italy, to Milan, where next year she will fight on more fronts with the jersey of Vero Volleyball.
"Dressing the jersey of Vero Volley Milano è an opportunity that cannot be renounced – began Guerra – I arrive in one of the most serious and professional realities of the Italian league, è a great stimulus for my career the fact of sharing the season with teammates and staff of the highest level. I can't wait to focus on the season and think about doing well game after game; the wish I wish the team è to soon find the right mix of fun and serenity; that will allow us to face every challenge with the right attitude".
