Euro 2024: Holland drops its hat trick and goes to the quarters, Romania eliminated

A convincing Netherlands beats Romania 3-0 at the Allianz Arena in Munich and clinches the quarterfinals of Euro 2024. Koeman’s lineup overcame with Gakpo’s goal and Malen’s brace and sent a message to all rivals: the oranje are also in it for the final victory.

After a good Romanian start, the Netherlands takes control of operations and on 20' takes the lead: Nita is surprised at the first post by Gakpo. Koeman’s team, however, dominates and after two more chances by Simons and Veerman finds the well-deserved 2-0 at 83'83' with Malen, who takes advantage of a Dragusin mistake to score on an empty goal. Holland controlled, and in 93' gave the coup de grace to the rivals again with Malen on a counterattack.
