Euro 2024 Romania, Iordanescu: "Concluded a great story"

Eduard Iordanescu gave a round of applause to his Romania, defeated in the round of 16 of Euro 2024 by the Netherlands. The coach of the Romanians feels proud: "We ended a great story, which started two years ago. We continued that story here in Germany together with the fans of the national team. The team gave a great effort, but there's some sadness. We wanted more, but we gave everything. Thank you to my boys, supporters and Romanians everywhere".

"Romanians have to believe in themselves,” Iordanescu continued, “If they do, they can produce fantastic things. They have to develop and raise the new generations". 

"They need to take inspiration from these guys and have them as role models, because they gave everything they had. These are lessons we can use. This connection between the Romanian people and the national team could be a new beginning".
