Anticipation is growing for the all-Italian derby at Wimbledon between Jannik Sinner, number one seed, and Matteo Berrettini, currently number 59 in the ATP rankings but a finalist at the Championships in 2021, scheduled for Wednesday, July 3 on the 'Centre Court' of the All England Club.
The match between the world number one and the Roman tennis player will be the third and final match on Centre Court, following the women's match between Japan's Naomi Osaka and the U.S. Emma Navarro, after Russia's Daniil Medvedev opens the program at 2:30 p.m. Italian time with France's Alexandre Muller.
Lorenzo Musetti also spoke about what è undoubtedly the most fascinating second round of the English Slam in the press conference after his comeback victory over Frenchman Constant Lestienne: "&Surely Matteo canà put Jannik in trouble, becauseé he has shown us that he can come back great from injuries even after very long breaks".
"I have a hard time making a prediction, but I am sure it will be a great match and especially a challenge ‘mental’, becauseé they have been talking about it for many days already and the anticipationè skyrocketing, in fact I’ll be watching’the match on TV” concluded Musetti, who is also engaged in another derby in the second round against Luciano Darderi.
