Andy Murray knocked out, Novak Djokovic’s touching message

Andy Murray è was forced to raise the white flag at Wimbledon due to some physical problems, particularly in his leg. The Scot, who may be on his last Wimbledon in his career, will play only in the doubles tournament. On social media, friend-rival Novak Djokovic wanted to give credit to the Briton, with whom he has struggled so many times in the past.

"His retirement è very sad news for the tournament and for the tennis world, although I heard that he will try to play doubles. I hope he can get another opportunity in singles at the next Wimbledon. Knowing him, I know he will try. His whole career è has been marked by resilience. He has won three Slams and è been world number one".

"The fact that he played Challengers on clay, his least favorite surface, says everything about his personality. È an incredible inspiration for all players. He doesn&#39t mind spending hours and hours practicing every day. An impeccable professional, his attitude and method are something to study".

"His willpower" which allows him to push himself to the limit even with an artificial hip, è inspiring and should serve as an example for young athletes, especially when they start complaining about this and that. He has left an important mark on the sport, both on and off the field. Something tells me he will keep trying. He è earned the right to decide when to retire, he deserves it. I have no doubt that people would be happy if he decided to continue" .
