Wimbledon organizers have published the order of play for Friday, July 5, in which the third-round matches of the upper part of the men’s draw will be played. Jannik Sinner will again close out the 'Centre Court' schedule, which opens with the match between Carlos Alcaraz and Frances Tiafoe at 2:30 p.m. Italian time. In between is the women’s match between Emma Raducanu and Maria Sakkari.
Sinner will goà in the hunt for the round of 16 at the Championships against Miomir Kecmanovic, No. 52 in the ATP rankings, who surprisingly eliminated Tallon Griekspoor, the No. 27 seed, after a five-set, three-hour battle.
The world number one è ahead 3-0 in the previous records with the Serb: the first showdown between the two dates back to the semifinals of the Next Gen ATP Finals in 2019 when Jannik won in four sets; then the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 in Melbourne in 2021 with the South Tyrolean winning in two sets and finally the confrontation at the Cincinnati Master 1000 in 2022 when Kecmanovic was forced to retire under 5-7 1-3.
Among the Italians will also be engaged Fabio Fognini, who will face Roberto Bautista Agut, a semifinalist at Wimbledon in 2019, on Court 16 at 12 p.m., and Jasmine Paolini, opposing Bianca Andreescu, who will open the dances on Court 1 at 2 p.m.
