For the first time this season, Fabio Di Giannantonio è was forced not to finish a Sunday Grand Prix: the Roman rider of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team (who had retired three other times in the season, always during a Sprint Race) had to deal with a tire problem, which he tried to explain just to the official channels of the sports association founded by Valentino Rossi.

"Too bad, the first withdrawal for me in the 2024 race on Sunday – he began -. I’m sorry, with the shoulder I was better today, we did a great job with the team physiotherapist. The start was not è perfect, but I did not lose contact with the group and stayed there. Suddenly then, I started to lose grip in the rear: we are checking on the data, we don’t know yet what exactly è happened".

"I lost pressure, an alarm also appeared on my dashboard, and it was really dangerous to continue – added Di Giannantonio -. On the outside, the tire looks ok, but we cannot exclude that it is something on the rim. I am sorry to have closed the first part of the season like this, but the balance so far è definitely positive".

Di Giannantonio had retired in the first three Sprint Races of the season, in Qatar, Portugal and Texas. in the Sunday races, however, he had always finished under the checkered flag, and always among the top ten. A roster that, despite today&#39s retirement, allows him to be in the Top 10 also in the overall standings, where he occupies eighth place with 92 points.
