Khéphren Thuram to Juventus: it’s done

After Michele Di Gregorio and Douglas Luiz, Juventus officially announced the signing of Kèphren Thuram from Nice. The younger brother of the Inter player arrives at the Bianconeri on an outright basis for a total sum of 25 million euros, including bonuses. The class of 2001 has signed a contract until June 30, 2029.

"Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that it has reached an agreement with OGC Nice for the outright acquisition of the rights to the sports performance of the footballer Khephren Thuram-Ulien for a consideration of € 20 million, payable in three financial years, plus additional charges of € 0.6 million. Juventus has signed a sports performance contract with the same player until June 30, 2029.

The link between Khéphren Thuram-Ulien and Italy è long-standing and dates back to his birthplace. For’Khéphren, a Frenchman and the son of former Juventus player Lilian Thuram, was born in Reggio Emilia in March 2001 just a few months after dadàLilian moved to Turin, Italy, where he was playing for Parma at the time. In the summer of 2001, the Thuram family moved to Turin where, twenty-three years later, Khéphren è ready to return.

The first steps in the world of soccer he moves near Paris: Neuilly-sur-Seine in the youth teams of Olympique de Neuilly, then in Boulogne-Billancourt at the’Athlétic Club Boulogne-Billancourt. At age 13, he moved to INF Clairefontaine and listed among the best twenty French players born in 2001; in 2016, Monaco with whom he debuted among the oldest, also making his debut in at age 17 against Atletico Madrid; in the summer of 2019 to Nice where he collected 167 total matches, scoring 9 goals and making 11 assists.  Five-year period in which è was the player of the transalpine club to collect more appearances in Ligue 1 (141) and in which è was the second player to engage in more duels (942).

And è at Nice that Thuram "presents himself to all intents and purposes to the general public, maturing in all aspects: physical, – dynamism, speedà and power some of his characteristics – technical, tactical and responsibility; on the green rectangle. Characteristics that also convinced France’s technical commissioner Didier Deschamps to call him up with the senior national team with which he made his debut on March 24, 2023 against the Netherlands. Khéphren Thuram thus arrives at Juventus after five seasons played at OGC Nice where he è grew year after year, leaving France and returning to Italy. Turin, now, è again his home.
