Carlos Sainz-Williams: James Vowles doesn’t give up
James Vowles won’t give up Carlos Sainz
After the conclusion of the Silverstone weekend, which saw Williams return to the points zone with Alexander Albon, the team principal of the British racing stable James Vowles è returned to talk about the drivers’ market and the possible hiring of Carlos Sainz in place of Logan Sargeant starting in 2025.
"Sainz è a world-class driver, so the decision is not è so obvious, but not è today that we have to close the deal. What I have always said è that timing è less important to me" began the Williams team principal as quoted in "FormulaPassion".
"The key thing è that whatever decision we make or which driver we decide to engage, we can create a long-term relationship between us. Both drivers need to see the journey we are on as a team and they need to be key players in the future development of this stable. I am sure we will clarify the situation before September" added the sports executive.
"We are aware that Sainz is also of interest to other teams, but we are ready for any eventuality. I think it will soon be resolved and we will know more clearly everything" concluded James Vowles.
