Novak Djokovic-Lorenzo Musetti 6-4 7-6 6-4

Lorenzo Musetti’s dream at Wimbledon was extinguished in the semifinals. The Carrara tennis player, in fact, è had to surrender to an excellent Novak Djokovic, who flies for the tenth time to the final at the Championships. The Serbian è imposed himself in three sets with the final score of 6-4 7-6 6-4 after almost three hours of play.

Musetti started well, holding Djokovic in the beginning of the match. In the sixth game forò the Azure found himself 0-40 in an instant and on the second chance the Serb went for the break. However, called to serve for the set, Nole squanders two set points and loses serve. The joy for Lorenzo was short-lived: in the next game the Carrara player gave up serve again, losing the first set 4-6.

In the second set comes the immediate reaction of Musetti who gets the break in the opening and confirms the lead (2-0). In the sixth game forò the Azure runs into a bad serve and Djokovic recovers the break (3-3). We proceed 'on serve' until the tie-break where Nole è perfect: 7-2 and two sets to zero.

Galvanized by the double lead in the set count, Djokovic scratches the break in the opening of the third set. The Serb concedes nothing on serve, Musetti è admirable in saving three consecutive match points on 3-5 0-40, but in the next game Nole closes the score on 6-4 final.

Djokovic thus reaches the Wimbledon final where he will face Carlos Alcaraz, who overcame Daniil Medvedev in four sets (6-7 6-3 6-4 6-4) in the first semifinal, in what will be a rematch of last year’s edition when the Spaniard triumphed in five sets.
