Adriano Panatta warns Jannik Sinner
During the interview granted to Fatto Quotidiano, Adriano Panatta defended Jannik Sinner: "Obviously one should not expect perfection from this guy. We have a great champion, a great guy who always says sensible and intelligent things every time he opens his mouth. It wouldn’t even be fair".
The racquet legend continued: "Even champions are very normal people with their private lives. Everyone can be tainted with feelings. On the court then you play against an opponent, so è everything is a parable that starts from the first point until the end and that looks a little bit like what ordinary life can be".
"There's also suffering, as in life. You win, you lose and you have to move on. Here, maybe one piece of advice to Sinner and all the other young tennis players I can give: real life starts when you then stop playing. This here è a privileged, great life. You play tennis, what you’ve been doing since you were a child. But è good to always remember that then there's a second life, which in some ways è more complicated" Panatta's warning.
