Milan, not only Morata and Fofana: also ready to strike for the defense

Strahinja Pavlovic close to AC Milan

AC Milan continues to remain active in the market, with the goal of putting at the disposal of the new coach Paulo Fonseca a complete roster in each of its departments: for the attack Alvaro Morata seems to be one step away, in the midfield the name of reference è that of Youssouf Fofana, while for the defense è near the sì of Strahinja Pavlovic, seen in the last two seasons at Red Bull Salzburg.

According to reports from 'Sky Sport', Pavlovic (on the field with the Serbia jersey in the three matches played by his national team at Euro 2024) has reportedly already said sì to the transfer, and is waiting for the agreement between the Rossoneri and Austrian clubs, which are trying to file the difference between demand and supply.

The player's current value is 25 million euros, Milan hopes to bring him to Italy for a lower figure. As far as individual qualities are concerned, Pavlovic è a left-handed central defender, 194 centimeters tall and physically strong: Milan could see him at work up close in the Champions League 2022/23, when he met Salzburg in the group stage.

The 2001-born footballer è grew up in the youth ranks of Partizan, a club for which he later made his professional debut, in the Serbian SuperLiga. He then played for Monaco in Ligue 1, Club Brugge in Belgium and Basel in Switzerland. His national team debut è dated September 3, 2020 (Russia-Serbia 3-1, in Nations League): since then he has played 38 matches in the White Eagles’ jersey, also scoring 4 goals.
