England in shock

English newspapers unleashed after England&#39s defeat, still out of triumph at the European Championships and on its second lost final in a row, following its home loss to Italy three years ago. "The agony continues".

The Daily Telegraph è thus unleashed: "The pain continues. And it goes on. Fifty-eight years and still it goes on for England. Southgate had talked about the desire to win so much that it hurt, but è the pain there è that è remained with England, and they can&#39t really complain since Spain won the European Championship".

The finger remains pointed at the coach: "For Southgate, this è probably the end of the line as England coach. He was hoping, praying, desperate for a different kind of resolution, a first trophy for his country since 1966, and they were inches away from forcing extra time with Marc Guehi’s header disallowed on the goal line in the 90° minute. But it simply did not è go in".
