English newspapers unleashed after England's defeat, still out of triumph at the European Championships and on its second lost final in a row, following its home loss to Italy three years ago. "The agony continues".
The Daily Telegraph è thus unleashed: "The pain continues. And it goes on. Fifty-eight years and still it goes on for England. Southgate had talked about the desire to win so much that it hurt, but è the pain there è that è remained with England, and they can't really complain since Spain won the European Championship".
