A young but already established new arrival, and one that his new technician seems to appreciate in no small part.

Calciomercato Lazio: Nuno Tavares è a new biancoceleste player, after the conclusion of his experience at Arsenal. On Sunday, the 2000-year-old Portuguese side reached the training camp in Auronzo di Cadore and his new club welcomed him with a short yet clear note on social media: "Welcome to Auronzo!". Already very pleased with his arrival Marco Baroni.

In fact, the newly appointed biancoceleste coach allowed himself a brief comment to the microphones of the 'Messaggero', talking about the arrival of Nuno Tavares at Lazio. "You will find out how è strong", were the words of the Tuscan coach. After all, the young Portuguese defender represents one of the great future hopes of Lusitanian soccer, despite being back from a troubled season.

Born as mentioned in 2000, Nuno Tavares è trained in the prolific school of Benfica debuting in the first team and then in the Primeira Liga already in 2019. After just two seasons he then moved on to Arsenal, which only gave him space on the pitch in 2021-2022. From then on, a period of loan sales began for him.

The first and luckiest one took him to France, to Igor Tudor’s Olympique Marseille, where he played the best season of his still young career (39 games and an impressive 6 goals to his credit between Ligue 1 and cups, including the Champions League). Definitely more bitter was his experience at Nottingham Forest last year, characterized by only 12 appearances in all competitions.

Now the new adventure in Italy, once again on loan but this time with an obligation of redemption that will triggerà upon the occurrence of certain conditions. Nuno Tavares has signed until June 30, 2029, so for five seasons. Lazio will pay 1 million to Arsenal immediately, plus another 6 should they decide to confirm the player.
