Davis Cup, Jannik Sinner and others seeking encore

It is less and less until the Davis Cup, which will be held Sept. 10-15 for the third consecutive year on the court of the 'Unipol Arena' in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna). These are the summoned players called up by captain Filippo Volandri: Jannik Sinner, Lorenzo Musetti, Luciano Darderi, Andrea Vavassori and Simone Bolelli.

All matches are scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, begins with Holland-Belgium, then there will be Italy's opener with Brazil, followed by Holland-Brazil. On Friday, Italy and Belgium will face each other on the 13th, then Belgium-Brazil and Italy-Holland.

The 16 teams have been divided into four groups of four; the top two finishers in each group will qualify for the Final 8, scheduled to take place at the 'Palacio de Deportes José María Martín Carpena' in Malaga from Nov. 19-24, 2024.
