Marc Marquez moves away from retirement
During an interview with the microphones of "Speedweek", Team Gresini centaur Marc Marquez, among other topics, spoke out about his next adventure riding the factory Ducati. In addition, the Spanish centaur also wished to shed light on his hypothetical retirement from MotoGp at the end of his experience alongside Pecco Bagnaia in 2026.
"To win a championship you need all things and all situations to go the right way. This is not è the case for me right now. In the next season I hope to play my cards, but regardless I want to stay longer than the two years of the contract I will have, maybe two more than that" began the Spanish centaur.
"This year I have been better, but every athlete has his moment and once you get to the top, you have to work harder and harder to make the descent a little bit easier. If you can do that, you will have a longer career. I don’t know whether for me this phase of decline has already started or whether it will take a few more years to find out. We will figure it out in about five years" added the'former Honda.
"When I get home on Monday, I am still full of energy. I hope I can win a race again. Of course, I will try; but without forcing, as it doesn't have to be an obsession. Being part of a team that celebrates these results in a good atmosphere, it helps you a lot in terms of confidence" concluded Marc Marquez.
