Lucia Bronzetti exposes herself on Jasmine Paolini
On the immediate eve of the WTA tournament in Palermo, which had seen her reach the final in the 2022 edition, Lucia Bronzetti expressed her thoughts on the moment of Italian women’s tennis and in particular of Jasmine Paolini, who has held the tricolor very high, despite defeats in the finals, both at Roland Garros (where she è also reached the final in doubles, with Sara Errani) and at Wimbledon.
"For sure, Jasmine has done some amazing things recently,"said the Romagnola tennis player at the press conference. She is having a great moment and è inspiring everyone, è improved so much. We have to tag along with her, try to do the best we can. Italian tennis è in great form with Jasmine, but also with Sinner and Musetti, as we è saw at Wimbledon".
Between Paolini (No. 5) and Bronzetti (No. 70) there'è another Italian in in the WTA rankings, Elisabetta Cocciaretto, current No. 46, who with Bronzetti will play doubles in Paris 2024: "She has resumed training, she is fine – she said. I heard from her today, she wrote to congratulate me for the result in Contrexeville (Challenger won by Bronzetti herself, in the final against Mayar Sherif, ed.)".
"A heavy virus had debilitated her but now she is better,‖ explained the tennis player from Romagna, speaking of her doubles partner. -I hope there are no problems for the Olympic Games, but she should be fine. We will see each other directly in Paris" she then concluded.
