Flavio Cobolli's adventure at the Hamburg ATP 500 ends in the round of 16. The Roman tennis player, in fact, è surrendered in two sets to Chinese Zhizhen Zhang, eighth seeded seed and world number 34, who è imposed himself with the final score of 6-1 7-6 after an hour and a quarter of play.
Cobolli got off to a bad start by surrendering the serve to zero in the opening game. Zhang confirmed the lead (2-0) and in the fifth game again took away the service from the blue (4-1), who was too foul. The result è a first set dominated by the Chinese, who won it 6-1.
The second partial does not start better for Flavio, who loses the serve in the second game (0-2) and shortly after finds himself down 1-4. Here però comes the reaction of the Roman who saves a ball of the 1-5 and rejoins his opponent in the score (4-4). So it comes to the tie-break where it goes point to point until 5-5: here Cobolli misses with the forehand and in the next point Zhang closes the score, coming to take the point and the victory at the net.
Cobolli thus has to say goodbye to the''Hamburg Open'. Among the Azzurri, only Luciano Darderi, who on Friday will challenge Argentina's Sebastian Baez, the third seed in the seeding and No. 19 in the ATP ranking, in the quarterfinals.
