During a lengthy interview given to the microphones of "Basketball.de", German point guard Maodo Lo, among other topics discussed, bluntly commented on his first season with the Olimpia Milano jersey and his adaptation to coach Ettore Messina's new system.

"When I was in shape, I played well, but I could never get to top condition. I never had worse injuries, but last season I had several muscle problems that limited me greatly. This è perhaps the bill you pay for the endless summers when you play and don&#39t recover. It's a shame that this happened during my first year abroad. You try to get back into the game slowly after an injury, find some rhythm and then get hurt again. It's been bitter, but that's part of the sport,&#39 began the German basketball player.

"I have enough experience as a player and have completed enough years as a professional to get used to different systems of play. When I was fit, I could also play well in Coach Messina’s system, but with the constant physical problems, it è wasn’t easy to get into a rhythm" added the 1992 class.

"I am looking forward to the Olympic Games being held in Europe, which will make it easier for the family to be there. Compared to Tokyo 2021 it will be a completely different atmosphere, as we will be back playing in front of the fans and we will also be able to watch other disciplines up close. Regardless of all that, I will try to do my best for my team" concluded Maodo Lo about the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
