Thomas Ceccon was born in Thiene on Jan. 27, 2001. He's 1.97 tall and weighs 89 kg. At the age of eight he è started swimming by his parents Gioia and Loris, following in the footsteps of his older brother Efrem. The boy’s sports and competitive training matures within the Vicenza-based company Leosport.
Initially è coach Anna Vallarsa to take care of Thomas, while later he was assigned to coach Alberto Burlina, with whom he began to compete and capture his first youth successes, establishing himself within a few years as one of the mostù interesting promises of Italian swimming.
Talented and multi-talented, in fact, the Thiene native immediately made a name for himself at the 2018 Buenos Aires Youth Olympics, winning no less than five medals, including the Olympic title in the 50 freestyle.As an adult, he continued in the same vein: in Tokyo 2020 a silver and a bronze in the 4×100 freestyle and 4×100 mixed relays, respectively, and between World and European Championships he comfortably reached double digits in career medals.
Thomas Ceccon graduated from Liceo Sportivo in 2020. In his spare time, he cultivates a great passion for photography and follows basketball with involvement. In Paris 2024, his next goal will be to try to win his first Olympic gold medal among the greats in the 100 and 200 backstroke.
