Qualifying for the Hungarian GP ended in the sign of McLaren, with Lando Norris snatching pole position ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri. At the end of Q3, in the customary interviews, Max Verstappen analyzed his third-place finish and spoke out ahead of the Grand Prix.

"I tried hard but throughout the course of the weekend we were always behind. I think qualifying also comfirmed that. I gave it my all but it è was not enough. I can not point to a single reason why I did not go beyond the third position" began the Red Bull driver.

"Definitely I would have liked more grip with my car but I did not have it. Anyway, I am third and I hope that tomorrow the car will allow me to do well. In the last few races McLaren è always been much stronger in the race than in qualifying. Tomorrow will be warmer than today, so I hope this can help us beat them" added the Dutchman.

"I like this competition, but honestly I would rather be in front. We are chasing right now and it is obvious to me. We are coming off some difficult weekends, so the situation is not è simple" concluded Max Verstappen.
