Allianz supports Olympic and Paralympic Games

Allianz is è taking action to contribute to the success of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, starting with supporting more than 160 athletes and para-athletes on Team Allianz, including 90 potentially competing in Paris 2024. They will be encouraged by more than 2,000 Allianz colleagues and supported by more than 200 volunteers who will work behind the scenes and on the field to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the event.

Over the course of 29 exciting days, 14,900 world-class athletes from more than 200 National Olympic and Paralympic Committees and the IOC Refugee Olympic Team will compete in 32 different sports in a spirit of unity and peaceful competition. The Games are predicted to attract 15 million visitors between the Olympic Games (July 26 to Aug. 11) and the Paralympic Games (Aug. 28 to Sept. 8), with billions of people watching the opening ceremony and competitions live around the world.

Allianz’s strategic partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Movements continues through 2028 and includes the upcoming Games in Milan-Cortina 2026 and Los Angeles 2028, enabling Allianz to connect with millions of customers, consumers and business partners around the world, increasing awareness and attractiveness of the highest-value global insurance brand and creating business impact in key growth markets.

Supporting athletes è at the heart of Allianz’s strategic partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Movements. 160 athletes, parathletes and promising athletes from 32 countries in 53 disciplines are part of Team Allianz.

Allianz has established a dedicated program to support athletes, including the year-round Buddy Program mentoring initiative and financial education initiatives that help athletes manage sports, personal finances and their professional careers.

Allianz supports them not only financially, but also by answering questions about their insurance coverage. At the same time, athletes’ testimonials convey important values such as friendship and respect, thus strengthening the Allianz brand.
