Matteo Gabbia extols Fonseca and Morata and does not expose himself on the Scudetto fight

During a lengthy interview given to the microphones of the "Gazzetta dello Sport", MIlan defender Matteo Gabbia, among the various topics discussed, bluntly expressed himself on the first weeks of work under the orders of new coach Paulo Fonseca and the signing of Alvaro Morata as the new center forward. In addition, the Azzurri center-back also dwelt on the Scudetto fight.

"The first weeks with Fonseca have left me with very positive impressions. The sessions are intense and require a lot of effort. We give everything to adapt to the new way of working. Paulo has in mind a very proactive soccer, so it will beà fundamental to take advantage of every single session of this beginning of the season to assimilate the new concepts" debuted the blue defender.

"Alvaro è a champion of Europe and has won so much in his career. He is a great striker and we are happy to have him in the team, because he will give us a great hand. An important role is also played by Ibrahimovic, who since he has been a manager è always very close to the group and for us è an extra stimulus " continued the former Villarreal man.

"Our goal è to work with the utmost concentration to arrive at full form at the start of the championship. Then, è clear, Milan è an important, ambitious, prestigious and unique club. Inter è Inter è a great team, è useless to go around it. We are not obsessed with the derby on the fifth day and neither are we interested in framing the favorites for the Scudetto, as our focus has to be the next training session and then the match against Torino on the first day. It's obvious that the matches against the Nerazzurri will have to be tackled to the maximum, but we will have to do well in the other challenges as well if we want to hope to win" added the class of 1999.

"I expect a very competitive league, becauseè there are many strong opponents, but there is no point in thinking about what the others are doing. It would only mean wasting precious mental energy" concluded Matteo Gabbia.
