Maurizio Arrivabene, Ferrari’s team principal from 2015 to 2018 who, before leaving, decided to promote Charles Leclerc to drive Ferrari, spoke to Corriere della Sera about the moment the Monte Carlo driver is going through:
"No crisis, but a moment of discouragement. He needs to be stimulated and understood. He needs to have people beside him who can bring out the best in him. If one has the stuff, one doesn’t lose it suddenly”.
Next year, Leclerc will be joined in Red by Hamilton: "Lewis canò help Charles grow, the first opponent of a driver è his partner. But what matters more is the car he will have, and the ’only phenomenon è Verstappen. But not even he è can lower by himself 2-3 tenths as I hear".
