Sebastiano Luperto explains why he chose Cagliari
Cagliari, Sebastiano Luperto: "Never had any hesitation"
During a press conference held on the sidelines of Cagliari's second day of training in Chatillon, the new Rossoblù defender Sebastiano Luperto spoke in front of reporters about the reasons that led him to choose the island club, after important seasons at Empoli.
"I chose Cagliari becauseé è a great square – said, bluntly, the footballer born in Lecce on September 6, 1996 -. I did not have any, I just took a few days to talk about the transfer with my family. On the destination, however, there were no doubts: I am proud and excited to have chosen Cagliari".
Another motivation è related to the landing, in Sardinia, of coach Davide Nicola, with whom Luperto worked last year in Tuscany: "The presence of the coach è was important in the negotiations – said the defender -. Also the president and the sporting director, però, showed that they wanted me in the team at any cost".
Speaking about the group that is being formed in Valle d'Aosta ahead of the championship, Luperto è then said he was further confident: "There are many interesting youngsters, we are showing good qualities in training and I am sure we will do so in the match as well. The group è already united, I can't wait to take the field".
