After a full three months, Lorenzo Sonego returns to the quarterfinals of an ATP tournament. In Umag, in fact, the Italian tennis player ruled the French Alexandre Muller in two sets with a score of 7-5 6-1, after an hour and thirty-five minutes of play.
During the first set, è the Italian player to have the first break chances, but the transalpine è good at saving himself in both the fifth and ninth games thanks to his first serve. After nullifying two set points in the tenth game, the Italian finally managed to snatch the serve from his opponent in the next round, which then paved the way for the 7-5 final.
The second partial è a monologue by Sonego, who places the first break in the third and repeats himself twice more during the set. Muller tries to get back into the match, but the world number 54 è relentless and closes the games on 6-1.
