Paris 2024, Simona Quadarella makes no predictions
Soì Simona Quadarella spoke on departure this morning from Fiumicino airport to Paris and makes no predictions of more Olympic medals after her Tokyo bronze in the 800 sl swimming.
"This for me will definitely be an Olympics a little bit more of the experience than Tokyo. My goal will see itò well just before the race". However, the Italian middle distance runner does not hide the fact that for her the World Championships in Doha, with the double title won in the 1500 and 800 sl, was "a nice stimulus to face this Olympic season".
Asked then if she is already savoring the challenge with Katie Ledecky, Quadarella lets herself go with a smile and says: "I don’t think there can be a challenge with her but,” she adds, “there will definitely be with the others".
Returning to the podium of the Games in swimming in two different editions è a feat achieved in Italy so far only by Stefano Battistelli, Massimiliano Rosolino, Federica Pellegrini and Gregorio Paltrinieri.
