ATP Umag: Lorenzo Sonego struggles but not enough with Cerundolo

Lorenzo Sonego's adventure at the Umag ATP 250 stopped in the quarterfinals. The Piedmontese player, in fact, è surrendered in three sets to Argentine Francisco Cerundolo, fourth seed and world number 37, who è imposed himself with the final score of 6-4 2-6 7-6 after two hours and thirty-three minutes of play.

Some regrets for the Italian, especially in the first set, in which he è saw three break points cancelled by Cerundolo, only to surrender the serve on the most beautiful, in the tenth game, handing the first partial to the Argentine (6-4).

In the second set è came immediately the reaction of Sonego, who signed the break in the third game and repeated it in the seventh game, going to serve for the partial at 5-2. Lorenzo did not tremble and dragged the match to the third and decisive set.
