Vero Volleyball Milan, Tigotà 2024/25 Serie A1 calendar
Vero Volley Milan is starting to warm up its engines. After the summer break and the Olympic Games in Paris, in fact, on October 6, 2024, the Milanese team will return to the courts all over Italy to go in the hunt for the much-dreamed of Tricolor in the top Italian league, the Serie A1 Tigotà, in addition to the'important commitment in Europe with the CEV Champions League.
The Women’s Volleyball League has, in fact, published on its website the calendar of the 2024/25 season, after making official the 14 teams that will take part in this year’s championship. Among them could not miss the first pink formation of the Consortium, at its ninth consecutive participation.
Orro and her teammates, led by new coach Stefano Lavarini, will begin their journey in Pinerolo against Wash4Green, while the debut within the walls of the Allianz Cloud in Milan is set for Oct. 12 against Roma Volleyball, immediately followed by another home challenge: the big match on Oct. 20 against Igor Gorgonzola Novara. Then it will be the turn of the trip to Cuneo to face Honda Olivero S.Bernardo and the home clash with Il Bisonte Firenze. After the match against the Perugia-based Black Angels Volleyball on Nov. 3, Vero Volleyball will return to perform in front of the home crowd against the "butterflies" of Uyba Volleyball Busto Arsizio on Nov. 10. Day 8 will see the Milan-Talmassons (newly promoted to Series A1) challenge, while on Nov. 24, all eyes will be on the Allianz Cloud taraflex for the big-match against Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano. The final sprint will see Bergamo and Vallefoglia take turns before the away match against Savino Del Bene Scandicci and the home match against Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri'76 that will close the first round on Dec. 15.
At the end of the regular season, the 13th and 14th place finishers will relegate to Serie A2, while the best eight will enter the Playoff Scudetto, with the Quarterfinals at the best of three games and Semifinals and Finals at the best of five.
Friday, Sept. 20 at 11:30 a.m. in the exceptional setting of Courmayeur will be presented the 80° Tigotà Serie A Championship, the real start of the season. At the same time as the presentation, the top four finishers of the last Serie A1 – Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano, the Savino Del Bene Scandicci, the Vero Volley Milano and the’Igor Gorgonzola Novara – will compete in the Courmayeur Cup, an appetizer to the Fineco Supercup scheduled for Saturday, September 28, the first event of the season that will award a trophy.
