Juventus, Thiago Motta downplays false start

Juventus coach Thiago Motta spoke after the ugly 3-0 loss in the first pre-season friendly against Nuremberg. The Italo-Brazilian coach at Sky microphones downplayed the ko: "Today’s match is good if taken in the right way, we definitely have to improve quickly and we have to continue working in the same way, with the same intensity" that I have seen in these days".

"The positive point of this retreat has been the days and working together. From practice to practice, from game to game we have to improve and find our best level. I liked everyone, the way they worked. To point to one player now who did better than the others would not be the right thing. I liked everybody, we will see with time who can maintain this level, who can raise it and be able to stay with us and contribute both in training and in games".

The difficultiesà highlighted in the friendly: "We were not able to get into the game, to control the game. At the beginning of the second half è it was much better. They had to go and find the equalizer and in my opinion it could change the game. But not è an alibi, I think we have to and can do better, but in general, beyond the result, everything else we did a good preparation. I think we can control the game better, controlling us means playing the ball better and in the opposing half of the field, lengthen this phase of possession to organize and also tire the opponent before finding the space where we can attack".

Soulé, departing for Rome, did not want to play: " We talked yesterday, he asked me today not to participate, it seems the right thing to respect his decision. Those will come at the right time, those we need, but I repeat I have no doubt that we will build a competitive team".
