Paris 2024 Olympics: spectacle on the Seine, show in the opening ceremony
It began with the highly anticipated parade of Olympic teams at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics. White, red and blue fireworks lit up the Austerlitz Bridge, kicking off the show. The parade of Olympic teams è started with the boat of Greece traditionally opening the parade, followed by the refugee team. Among the first stars to perform was American star Lady Gaga.
Also in the stands at the Trocadero was the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella. The boats paraded along the Seine: Italy was on the boat with the Israeli delegation, Iceland and Jamaica. The Azzurri showed up in black with lots of tricolor flags: the two flag bearers Gianmarco Tamberi and Arianna Errigo stood out. Their chants ("Italy, Italy), partly covered the booing to Israel that came from different parts along the river.
During the parade, the show è continued on both banks with artists, music and sounds accompanying the athletes.
At the Trocadero in addition to the heads of state in the authorities tribune; also a parade of stars: among them American composer Pharrell Williams, British actress Cynthia Erivo, American singers Ariana Grande and John Legend, former U.S. sprinter Michael Johnson, former swimmer Laure Manaudou, l'former tennis player Serena Williams, 23 Grand Slam titles to her credit, did not want to miss the event, French actor Vincent Cassel, former tennis player Boris Becker, and former ski champion Lindsey Vonn. Also present will be former NBA star Tony Parker.
