Paris 2024 Olympics, Jasmine Paolini admits, “It wasn’t easy.”
An important and difficult victory, as explained at the end of the game.
Jasmine Paolini passes the round at the Paris 2024 Olympics, beating Romanian Ana Bogdan in two sets, not without difficulty. The Tuscan in particular suffered in the first set, having to recover two breaks to her opponent. And in this sense her explanations given at the end of the matches are clear, accompanied however by optimism and confidence in view of the continuation of the kermesse (which she faces as number 4 on the scoreboard).
"Playing indoors I like it, but today it è took me a little more time to measure up to the court,‖ explained Jasmine Paolini.
Initially the new balls went fast, then they started to swell. It was not è easy, but I am happy with how I managed to handle the match".
"The court was slippery, although not to the levels of the one at Roland Garros. In general there'was more dirt, but the Lenglen remains basically similar to the Roland Garros courts. That said, however, upon playing there I found it slightly different from what I expected", added Paolini.
So congratulations to the opponent: "I knew Ana è dangerous. I expected a difficult match, and after starting badly I tried to stick point by point. I told myself that I would have to find particular solutions, and that maybe a chance would come. In the end è that’s exactly what happened, and I’m glad I took advantage of my chances", concluded the Italian tennis player.
