Good first in the States for Milan: 3-2 at Manchester City
The two scorers are destined to play elsewhere
.
At the Yankee Stadium, Fonseca’s Milan, in its first real test, imposed itself on Manchester City 3-2. A victory that gives morale to the group, especially for how è it came, that is, with a proactive game. The only negative note, the injury to Florenzi, who was forced to leave the field on a stretcher (there are fears of a serious right knee injury for the Rossoneri outfielder).
In front of the English champions, the Diavolo played with an open face. Fonseca’s team was not afraid to handle the ball and try to build from behind. Despite a good start, it was the Citizens who unlocked the result with Haaland (19'). Vehemently the Rossoneri reaction with Colombo’s double within 4' of play (netting on 30' and 34').
In the second half, City brought the score back to even with the momentary equalizing goal signed by McAtee. In the final, with many changes made by both coaches, è came Nasti’s flick that, at 78', decided the game in favor of Milan.
Curiously, the two Rossoneri scorers are not part of the new Milan project. Colombo è by now, one step away from Empoli, and the other youngster (20 years old), namely Nasti, also seems destined to play elsewhere. Milan will be back on the field on Thursday night when they will take on Ancelotti’s Real Madrid. Another probing test to learn more about Fonseca’s new Milan.
