Lorenzo Musetti remains in the running in Paris

Musetti moves on

Lorenzo Musetti has crossed a new finish line: è the only Italian in men's singles tennis at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The Carrara tennis player defeated Argentina's Mariano Navone with a score of 7-6(2), 6-3, thus earning him access to the round of 16.

Musetti, currently No. 16 in the world, took a risk in the first set when, ahead 4-0, he è got caught up to 5-5, but then won the tie-break 7-2. The second set was less complicated.

The Blue’s next opponent will be the US Taylor Fritz, who eliminated Britain’s Draper with a score of 6-7(3), 6-3, 6-2.
