Naples with its back to the wall: discount to sell Osimhen?
The demands of the blue club seem definitely high
Conte is shaping his Napoli team. All the players on the roster are giving their all. Among them there'è also Osimhen who, in fact, should not yet be in training camp with the Azzurri. Yet, even today, the Nigerian striker is training with the rest of the Parthenopean team. His transfer is becoming a problem of no easy solution for Napoli.
PSG, a club strongly interested in Osimhen, è on stand-by. It has to sell some players before getting going and, above all, seems determined not to spend crazy amounts of money for the Nigerian. On the other hand, Napoli, on the strength of a 130 million euro rescission clause, would not want to go below 100 million euros.
In the background is Chelsea, which is waiting for news. Having Lukaku on their hands, the Blues are hoping that, in the end, Napoli will decide to make a mega discount on Osimhen’s quote and enter into negotiations with Chelsea on the basis of an Osimhen-Lukaku exchange. The risk è that De Laurentiis will have to lower, by a lot, his demands to say goodbye to Osimhen and give Conte his protégé Lukaku.
There would also be another route, namely the Saudi Pro League. In this case, è it is likely that Napoli will be satisfied economically but the Nigerian does not seem at all convinced to leave Europe to go play in Saudi Arabia, despite a princely salary. In short, the transfer of Osimhen è a problem for Napoli.
