ATP Montreal: Jannik Sinner ready to defend title
Jannik Sinner ready to return to the field
After confirmations from the tournament organizers and coach Darren Cahill, Jannik Sinner, through a brief message on his Instagram profile, also announced that he has completely recovered from the tonsillitis that forced him to forfeit for the Paris 2024 Olympics and that he is ready to return to the court in the Montreal Masters 1000, where the South Tyrolean will be called upon to defend the title he won in the previous edition.
"It's good to be hitting the ball again and I can't wait to start from here" this is the South Tyrolean's post. The world number one, in fact, è has already left for Canada and is training to the best of his ability with the intent of getting in top form for the start of the Canadian tournament, scheduled for Aug. 6.
After Montreal, Sinner will participate in Cincinnati and then the Us Open at the end of August: the goal è to remain at the top of the ATP Ranking until the end of the season.
In Canada there will presumably be no né Novak Djokovic nor né Carlos Alcaraz, who are currently committed to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
