MotoGP, back to India from 2025
MotoGP is returning to India, starting in 2025. MotoGP has signed a new contract with Invest UP, an agency of the Uttar Pradesh government that facilitates international investment in the region.
Under the agreement, the Indian Grand Prix will be part of the calendar from 2025 to 2027 inclusive. It will continue to be held at Buddh International Circuit, which has already hosted the top two-wheeled series in 2023.
"The inaugural Indian Grand Prix è was a success and brought value to both MotoGP and the host region of Uttar Pradesh,” said Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports. “India is a key market for MotoGP, with an interested and established audience, which can also grow exponentially”.
“The country has hundreds of millions of two-wheelers used every day, making it crucial for manufacturers and for the sport itself, thanks to MotoGP’s status as the pinnacle of two-wheelers”, concluded Ezpeleta.
