Charles Leclerc half-promotes Ferrari
Ferrari: Charles Leclerc’s assessment of the first part of the season
In the first 14 rounds of the World Championship, Ferrari collected a total of eleven podiums overall, including also two victories with Carlos Sainz in Australia and Charles Leclerc in Monaco. However, the Maranello stable has not è been able to find continuity and in recent GPs has struggled and not a little to be able to compete with McLaren, Red Bull and Mercedes. In the midst of the summer break, the Monegasque driver himself wanted to draw a balance of this first part of the season.
"Our first halfà è was really good, I think we couldn’t hope for better. We made the most of what was the potential of the car. After Monaco, we had to adopt extreme set-ups, and for me è it was impossible to go into qualifying knowing what the real limit of the car was. Since then, we lost a lot of points" began the Ferrari driver as quoted in "FormulaPassion".
"In the last two races we focused again on maximizing results, and I think we succeeded, but not fast enough. It's on this aspect that we have to focus our attention if we want to take a step forward in the second part of the season and if we want to hope for better results" added Charles Leclerc.
The F1 championship will resume on Aug. 25 with the Zandvoort GP, home circuit of world leader Max Verstappen.
