Paris 2024 Olympics: Sara Errani/Jasmine Paolini-Linda Nosková/Karolína Muchová 6-3 6-2
A hundred years after the last time, Italy will return to the podium at the Olympics in tennis. The pair formed by Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani, in fact, ruled in two sets the Czech duo composed of Linda Noskova and Karolina Muchova with a score of 6-3 6-2, becoming the first Italians in history to play an Olympic final.
The first set turns out to be very balanced with the two Italian players trying to put their opponents in trouble with the continuous exchanges inside the court. The two Czech players, however, do not get surprised and also thanks to their serve they keep their serve. In the eighth game è Italy put the arrow with Errani and Paolini taking advantage of Noskova’s errors to place the break and then close the partial on 6-3.
In the second game fraction, the balance lasted only three games. At that point the Italian pair upped the pace and in no time took a 3-1 lead. The two Czech Republic representatives try to come back, but they pay for their lack of polish. The two Italians, for their part, managed to materialize their opportunities and close the games on 6-2.
Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini will play for the gold medal against the pair consisting of Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider or the Spanish Cristina Bucsa and Sara Sorribes Tormo.
