Coppa Italia, victories for Cesena and Avellino

The preliminary round of the 2024/2025 Italian Cup has been completed: after Saturday’s victories of Carrarese against Catania and Mantova against Torres, on Sunday Cesena bent 3-1 against Padova, while Avellino eliminated Juve Stabia with the same result.

Cesena scored two goals in the first half with Kargbo and Shpendi, in the second half Bortolussi’s goal was not enough to revive the Biancoscudati, who were hit in the final by Francesconi.

The Irpini surprised Juve Stabia by immediately taking the lead through Tribuzzi, but the guests found the equalizer on 21' through Piscopo. Before halftime è came the decisive goal by Frascatori, while in the second half again Tribuzzi at 66' closed the game.

In the 32nd finals Avellino will face Udinese, while Cesena will face Verona.
