A weekend that may have generated some second thoughts.

Enea Bastianini è was the undisputed ruler of Silverstone, where he won both the Sprint Race and the MotoGP British Grand Prix. It was a weekend to be framed for a rider that però Ducati has decided to let go ahead of 2025, when it will beà Marc Marquez the partner of Pecco Bagnaia in the factory team. Gigi Dall'Igna, general manager of the racing department at Borgo Panigale, wanted to talk about this.

"I am extremely happy for Enea Bastianini – wanted to clarify Dall'Igna to the microphones of 'Sky Sport' – We unfortunately could only choose one rider out of three possible, but the fact è that each of them would have deserved to be part of the official Ducati team. We had to make a very difficult choice, both professionally and humanly. But if I am here è also to be criticized, and if that happens I accept it. Right that it is soì".

There remains the generally sumptuous test of Ducati, even on British soil. "We try to work on problems to improve them, and I think the work done is good,” stressed Dall'Igna. “Certainly the GP24 è improved in the aspects where the GP23 was struggling, and we saw that both here and at other tracks. The guys at home have done something very good".

Inevitably the main goal è therefore to confirm. "Every year the book è completely new. So at the end of the season we will put 2024 on file, focusing only on 2025. The winter will be decisive and we are already developing ideas to that effect. The fact è that you never know what others will do, so we have to confirm in the current season and then see how the next one will go", concluded Dall'Igna.
