Davide Casarin shows the way for Reyer Venezia
With only a few weeks to go before the start of the preparation meeting ahead of the new season, Davide Casarin, speaking to the official channels of Reyer Venezia, tried to map out the way to be competitive both in Italy and in Europe.
"I am very happy with the roster because there are so many of us left from last year, " important because we start from a solid group. I know most of the newcomers, some of them I have faced on the court. I think we are a really good team, we have a lot of athleticism and we are young, it will be up to us to work well and become a united team. As always we will startà everything from defense" debuted the 2003 class basketball player.
"My main goal è the same as the team has, which is to win as many games as possible to try to go all the way in every competition, creating a strong group both on and off the court, uniting in difficulties with mutual help. I always train with great concentration and dedication trying to learn from every situation and every match" continued the Mestre native.
"The first months were tough, è it was difficult to relate to a high-level team with very strong players. The most complicated aspect è was understanding my space and my role in the system. Coming back to Reyer with this program, this staff and this roster è was complicated, but thanks to everyone's help I was able to get into gear and make my contribution. I am satisfied with the season played, but now begins already another one in which we want to take great satisfaction" added the former Tezenis Verona.
To wear the jersey of one’s City; è the dream of every child. I have been playing at Reyer since I was four years old, and the 17 years of basketball I have lived practically all of them here. Reyer è home and family, I have spent more time in our gyms than at home. For me è it is an honor and a unique thrill to step onto the court for this jersey. It makes me happy to know that so many young basketball players are cheering for me, I feel I have a responsibility to be an example for them, not only on the court, but especially off it. When I was a kid I used to follow with my eyes everything my idols did to learn and that experience I now try to pass on to our youngsters" concluded Davide Casarin.
