It's all happened in the high jump qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Gianmarco Tamberi, in precarious condition, barely snatched a pass for the finals, jumping a measurement of 2.24 cm on his first attempt but sharply knocking down the bar at the next measurement.
Friend Barshim, himself a reigning Olympic champion, instead suffered a muscle problem, with Tamberi himself immediately rushing to help him. The Qatari è then recovered, qualifying in turn for the final.
