France still d'gold: Andrea Giani celebrates

Success for France in men’s volleyball: Andrea Giani’s team triumphed over Poland with a clear 3-0 win, repeating their success from the Tokyo Olympics. 25-19, 25-20, 25-23 was the final score that allowed the French to win the gold medal.

The first set è was immediately characterized by the impressive pace of the French, who made 12 out of 14 winning attacks while minimizing the exchanges. The second and third sets saw great shots both choral and individual, such as that of Trévor Clévenot, until then a bit in the shade, scoring three consecutive points to close out the second set. Four defensive walls in the third set allow them to go from 2-3 to 7-5. Earvin Ngapeth, outstanding in reception and defense, makes it 13-12.

Poland almost disappears in the final set, managing to be noticed only briefly during Marcin Janusz’s service turns. And on the fourth match ball, with a too-long serve by Leon, the French team was able to exult.
