The Paris 2024 Olympics are over. Italy confirmed a place in the Top 10 of the Olympic medal table thanks to the shower of medals that arrived in the last few days. Ahead the epic duel between the United States and China for the medal standings saw the star-studded selection winning (same number of gold medals, 40, but more total medals for the States). Curtain falls on Paris, rendezvous in four years in Los Angeles, USA.

Italy has won a total of 40 medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics, equaling the spoils of Tokyo 2020: this is an all-time record in a single edition of the Games. Unlike Japan, the Azzurri, however, won two more golds, finishing with 12 medals of the most precious metal. Italy finished ninth ahead of Germany.
