Matteo Arnaldi fails in Montreal feat, passes Andrey Rublev

Matteo Arnaldi's adventure at the Montreal Masters 1000 ends in the semifinals. The Ligurian tennis player, in fact, è surrendered in two sets with a score of 6-4 6-2 to Andrey Rublev, who, after eliminating Jannik Sinner, beat another Italian national to detach the pass for the final of the tournament.
The first jolt to the match was given by the Russian player, as in the third game he managed to break serve from his Italian rival and was able to maintain the break lead without conceding opportunities until the 6-4 final.
The second set è heavily affected by the è rain interruption. Upon resumption of play, however, è Rublev entered the court better and after nullifying a break ball, he twice in a row snatched service from Arnaldi, closing the score at 6-2.
In the very final of the Montreal Masters 1000, Andrey Rublev will face Australia's Alexei Popyrin. As for the Ligurian tennis player, however, he leaves the Canadian tournament with a good consolation prize that is access to the Top 30 of the ATP Ranking.
