Emerson Royal to Milan

AC Milan has announced that it has acquired outright, from Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, the sports performance of the player Emerson Aparecido Leite de Souza Junior, better known as Emerson Royal. The Brazilian defender signed a contract with the Rossoneri club until June 30, 2028, with an option for another year.

Born in São Paulo (Brazil) on January 14, 1999, Emerson Royal grew up in the Youth Sector of Ponte Preta, with whom he made his debut in the First Team in February 2017, and scoring 25 appearances and 1 goal in two seasons. In 2018 he moved to Atlético Mineiro (23 appearances and 1 goal) and in January 2019 came the transfer to Betis Sevilla, with whom he made 79 appearances and scored 5 goals. After a brief move to Barcelona, from 2021 he wears the shirt of Tottenham, with which he collects 101 appearances and 4 goals.

He boasts 10 appearances with the Brazil national team, with which he made his debut in November 2019. Emerson Royal will wear the Rossoneri jersey number 22.
